It took a timely call from Corey at Houzz to kick me into gear and revisit the brand representation of VOCA Off Grid. I'm approaching 2-years since leaving my cushy, full-time, benefit laced, energy engineering job, and have recently found myself at another turning point of employment and identity.
Since venturing off as a freelance consultant in the construction materials industry, I quickly got drowned by business development, self-paced education, and working diligently for a meager yet recurring pay check. That all has changed, and I'm rebooting back to my roots. I've haphazardly moderated social profiles for VOCA Off Grid -- the culmination of which lack a consistent message nor do they inform a prospective audience about who I am and my perspective on building science.
Since venturing out into entrepreneurial world, I've had to fend for myself in terms of clients relationships, marketing materials, & sales toolkits. In this, I have neglected my identity: defining, exemplifying, and executing upon that which I set out to become.
Stay tuned as I revamp my brand identity, sure-up my message/mission/vision, and find better ways to purvey content that will help us redefine what we call home.
